On Wednesday, August 8, 2012, the Dominican Sisters of St. Catherine of Siena joined with some of their Dominican Brothers, Dominican Sisters of Sinsinawa, and Associates to celebrate the Feast of St. Dominic, Founder of the Order of Preachers. Sr. M. Fabiola Velásquez Maya, OP, Coordinator of Dominican Sisters International (DSI) who conducted a retreat for the Sisters on August 4 and 5 was also present. Holy Mass was held at Holy Cross Chapel, Calvary Hill, Arima at 10.30 a.m.
After Mass, the Sisters invited everyone to a joyful Dominican gathering at the Convent located opposite Holy Cross Chapel. There was food, fun, music, singing and dancing. It was indeed a truly happy Dominican day.
