The 47 th General Chapter of the Congregation of Saint Catherine of Siena opened on Monday, August 6 at 4.00 p.m. at Malick, Barataria, Trinidad and Tobago. This Chapter is particularly significant because it is the first to be held in Trinidad since the transfer of the Mother House from France in 2011. It will conclude on Monday, August 13, 2012.
The Chapter was preceded by two days of Retreat on August 4 and 5, facilitated by Sr. M. Fabiola Velásquez Maya, OP, Coordinator of Dominican Sisters International (DSI), who preached on the theme of the Chapter “Fired by the Spirit, let us Dare to Preach.”
All Sisters are invited to pray for the success of this General Chapter.
